Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver professional and technical support to school administrators, educators, and staff regarding the execution of instructional programs for ELs, alongside operational management of student services.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of academic and support programs specifically designed for ELs.
  • Support the implementation of new educational initiatives and standards aimed at enhancing instructional quality and student services for ELs.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to instructional staff as needed.
  • Coordinate and facilitate specific educational programs and projects as assigned.
  • Design and deliver professional development sessions for both ESOL and non-ESOL staff.
  • Conduct research and analyze data to prepare insightful reports and recommendations.
  • Interpret and communicate program-specific standards and guidelines effectively.
  • Monitor and evaluate various programs and activities, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and management of grant proposals and related activities.
  • Adhere to all equal employment and nondiscrimination policies while promoting a respectful and inclusive environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree may be necessary for certain roles.
  • Valid professional certification from the Maryland State Department of Education with a teaching endorsement.
  • Certification in ESOL or relevant experience working with English Learners.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in ESOL teaching or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in technical applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Capability to build and maintain effective relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Aptitude for facilitating positive communication and coordination among educators and staff.
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Skill in preparing and delivering impactful presentations.

Employment Type: Full-time
