Patient Transporter

We are seeking a skilled Patient Transporter to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a Patient Transporter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items to their destinations.
Key Responsibilities:- Transport patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items to their destinations in a safe and timely manner.
- Use wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock to facilitate patient transport.
- Communicate effectively with nursing personnel, clinicians, technicians, and reception and dispatch staff.
- Ensure patient comfort and modesty during transport.
- Alert nursing staff to any signs of patient distress or equipment malfunction.
- Maintain equipment and report any issues for repair.
- Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO.
- Adhere to facility confidentiality and patient's rights policy as outlined in the facilities HIPPA policies and procedures.
- Previous patient transport experience is required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely.
