Join Our Team

Cognosante offers services in support of the Military OneSource Program for military personnel and their families, akin to a commercial Employee Assistance Program (EAP). This initiative provides a wide range of information, resources, referrals, and counseling to approximately 4.7 million participants, including military service members, their families, and eligible civilians globally. Services are available through a 24/7 contact center accessible via an internet platform, toll-free telephone, secure real-time text/video chat, email, or postal mail, and encompass non-medical counseling; financial guidance; tax assistance; educational resources for spouses; adoption information; childcare; Exceptional Family Member Programs (EFMPs); deployment support; disability resources; elder care; educational services for all ages; relocation assistance; pet care; health and wellness coaching; housing support; legal service referrals; single service member services; lodging; military benefits; relationship support; parenting skill development; spouse relocation and transition; peer-to-peer support; and assistance with everyday challenges.

What is the Role?

Field Consultants travel throughout their designated region, as authorized by MC&FP, to support initiatives that enhance awareness of military community services, collaborate with existing family support resources, identify recommendations to address service gaps, and establish connections with community service providers, military services, and local representatives. Field Consultants will assist service members and families from all branches, with a particular focus on those who are geographically isolated from installation support.

What Will You Be Doing?

Key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Travel throughout the assigned region, as directed and approved by MC&FP.
  • Provide service members and families with information and referrals, and support events aimed at increasing awareness of military community services, including relocation assistance, non-medical individual and family counseling, personal and family life education, PFM services, information and referral services, deployment assistance, SECO, exceptional family member services, child abuse prevention and response services, domestic violence prevention and response services, MWR services, and transition assistance, as requested and approved by the Government.
  • Maintain an online repository of state-specific information on Government-approved family programs and support resources.
  • Identify issues and/or gaps in available services/resources and determine strategies to address these gaps and enhance existing support systems, in collaboration with Military OneSource, DoD, State Joint Force HQ, and civilian community resources.
  • Engage in and facilitate collaboration between military and civilian agencies to improve coordination.
  • Deliver briefings and training sessions to share information that unites related groups (e.g., unit/command members, staff, volunteers, etc.), when approved by the Government.

What Qualifications Are Required?

Essential qualifications for this position include:

  • U.S. Citizen and fluent English speaker.
  • Strong customer service skills, knowledge of call center operations, and familiarity with the military lifestyle.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience).
  • Six years of prior military experience as an Active Duty, National Guard, or Reserve service member, or as the spouse of a member, or relevant civilian knowledge and experience in Military Service programs.
  • An additional four years of work experience in a combination of prior military experience, marketing, sales, recruiting, education, or similar networking-intensive roles.
  • Must undergo a criminal history and fingerprint check.
  • Must submit to and successfully pass a DoD-initiated Tier 2 (Low-Risk) Suitability Investigation.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% within the assigned geographical area of responsibility, typically using personal vehicle.
  • Must reside within 50 miles of designated locations.

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish.
  • Previous experience in marketing, recruiting, counseling, and/or academic instruction.

Compensation

$77,124,450.68

The salary range for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, job responsibilities, and alignment with market data. When establishing a salary for this role, factors such as contract-specific affordability, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience may be considered. The displayed estimate represents the salary range for this position and is one component of Cognosante's total compensation package for employees.
