The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for the preparation and management of financial documentation to monitor the organization's assets, liabilities, income and expenses, tax obligations, and other pertinent financial operations.


Key Responsibilities:
Conducts comprehensive cost accounting and related tasks for the organization.
Generates monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
Oversees the maintenance of the general ledger.
Processes invoices, establishes new accounts, reconciles financial records, and finalizes monthly financial reports.
Ensures monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, verifies deposits, and addresses bank inquiries.
Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial records; oversees accounts receivable collections.
Confirms and/or completes payment of invoices related to accounts payable, ensuring charges are allocated to the correct accounts.
Assists external auditors by providing necessary account information and documentation for annual audits.
Submits tax documentation to federal, state, and local government entities.
Collaborates with software vendors to maintain accounting software systems; suggests enhancements to improve the accounting software.
Administers the purchasing and invoicing system.
Stays informed about acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
Performs additional related tasks as required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting principles.
Understanding of and adherence to generally accepted accounting standards.
Capability to accurately prepare tax documentation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar applications, as well as accounting software.

Educational Background and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline is required.
A minimum of three years of relevant experience is necessary.

Physical Demands:
Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be capable of lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally.

Work Schedule:
Standard business hours, Monday to Friday.
