Job Summary:

As a key member of the Northwell Health culinary team, the Executive Sous Chef will oversee the preparation and presentation of meals for our patients and staff. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and guide the culinary team to deliver exceptional food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the culinary team to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and execute food production, including ordering and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Monitor and control food costs to meet budgetary requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proven track record of leadership and team management.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
