Installation and Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Installation and Service Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and repairing retail equipment and inventory control systems in retail stores.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on retail products and equipment at customer sites.
  • Keep track of service calls via computer, including products serviced, work performed, hours and parts utilized.
  • Maintain an accurate parts inventory at levels that ensure a first-time fix.
  • Demonstrate and train customers on the proper use of their equipment.
  • Associate degree in Electronics and/or Networking, or technical military equivalent required.
  • ~ 3 years prior work experience in a related field.
  • ~ Competed basic EAS and Video training and certifications.
  • ~ Must have a mechanical aptitude and be able to use hand and power tools.
  • ~ Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • ~ Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high-lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
  • ~ Working knowledge of MS Office and basic PC skills.
  • ~ Ability to travel and work overtime as needed.
  • ~ Able to read and interpret blueprints and Scope documents.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified in all Video & RFID solutions currently sold and serviced by Retail.
  • Network Certification - Full competency in all required networking, advanced performance, and Networking Fundamentals.
