  • Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings, adapting to meet the unique needs and goals of each student.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication development, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
  • Record Keeping and Progress Monitoring: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and treatment plans, utilizing data-driven approaches to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices, research, and technologies in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Valid Illinois state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Teaching Endorsement: Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement (Teaching Endorsement: 154).
  • Experience: Previous experience in a school setting preferred, with a strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements:

  • Background Check: Successful completion of a background check and fingerprinting.
  • Compliance: Compliance with state and federal regulations for special education.
