Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Wheeling Hospital. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to identify communication and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient needs
  • Provide speech and language therapy to patients, including assessment, treatment, and follow-up
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current licensure in state of West Virginia or applicable state licensure
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech Language Pathology
  • Basic Life Support certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
Work Environment

The Speech Language Pathologist will work in a fast-paced hospital setting, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements

The Speech Language Pathologist will be required to stand, walk, and move around the hospital, as well as lift and transfer patients. The ideal candidate will be able to meet the physical demands of the job, with the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods.
