Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly qualified Senior Business Systems Analyst with expertise in application recovery and business continuity strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct interviews with business stakeholders to gather insights on application functionalities and complete application recovery documentation.
- Identify risks and challenges in existing recovery plans and provide comprehensive gap analysis and mitigation strategies.
- Develop a robust recovery plan that ensures the continuity of business application services during crises or operational disruptions, covering a diverse range of over 80 applications across various technologies.
Business Impact Analysis:
The analyst will collaborate closely with both business and technology teams to produce accurate assessments through standardized documentation, utilizing tools such as functional design documents and system architecture specifications.
Risk Identification:
The analyst will evaluate internal and external threats that could jeopardize recovery efforts, classifying each risk event and documenting it in a risk register. Understanding the organization’s risk tolerance will be essential for making informed recommendations.
Team Collaboration:
This role involves working with cross-functional teams to update and enhance recovery documentation, identify gaps, and propose actionable recovery strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, business applications, or a related field; education focused on Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) or business continuity is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis with a strong grasp of business applications and their architecture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with business users and team members.
- Proven ability to thrive in high-performing teams, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges while focusing on business objectives.
- Familiarity with various application technologies is required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to dissect complex issues and propose practical solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
