Electrical Division Manager T&D

As an Electrical Division Manager T&D, you will play a crucial role in leading the Transmission and Distribution division, overseeing the repair and maintenance of existing facilities, as well as the construction of new business. This is a unique opportunity to balance repairs and new business, working closely with crews and managing the budget for repairs and construction.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the Transmission and Distribution Division, comprising 35+ employees in the disciplines of T&D, above and underground facilities, and associated activities.
- Experience managing highly functional employees belonging to the IBEW Collective Bargaining Unit.
- In-depth knowledge of California General Order 95 (Overhead Electric Line Construction), California General Order 128 (Underground Electric Supply and Communication System Construction), and engineering involved in the development, construction, production, and operational methods in interconnected utility areas.
- Knowledge of Compliance requirements in the T&D environment.
- Knowledge of Work Management and Prioritization principles.
- Knowledge and experience using an Enterprise Asset Management Program, Computerized Maintenance Management System, and/or Computerized Work Management System.
- Knowledge of Maintenance Principles/Philosophies directed at T&D equipment and machinery, engineering economics, and the principles of management and personnel administration.
- Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety rules and regulations applicable to T&D work.
- First-hand knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment used in T&D work.
- Ability to analyze complex data, resolve applicable problems, and prepare technical reports.
- Effectively negotiate contracts, manage long-term supplier and customer business relationships.
- Manage contractor relationships.
- Manage project development and operations.
- Work successfully in a team environment.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Work effectively and harmoniously with others in a team.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or a closely related field.
- Substitutions: 8 years of applicable electric utility experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
- Experience: Working knowledge of Transmission & Distribution and four (4) years of experience at a responsible level in engineering, administration, marketing, rate setting, resource planning, power contracts, power trading, risk management, communications, information technology, power operations, or maintenance in the electric utility industry or related field.
- Substitutions: An advanced degree in Engineering or a Business degree may be substituted for up to 2 years of the experience requirement.
- Management Experience: Experience managing a union shop and strong work management skills.
- Relocation/ability to report to the office in Santa Clara.
