Fire Protection Engineer

About the Role
We're looking for a Fire Protection Engineer with five or more years of working experience, who is passionate about their craft, wants to work on a high-functioning team, and looking for an environment that promotes professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide our clients with automatic suppression system design, fire detection, alarm and mass notification system design, life-safety code analysis, egress analysis, fire resistant construction analysis, smoke control analysis and special inspection as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts and research.
- Design and specify basic systems without continuous oversight.
- Assist in managing CAD and production efforts.
- Perform consulting services for internal clients, utilizing Fire Protection Engineering technical skills.
- Work independently and supervise the efforts of a small team.
- Manage and participate in multiple projects simultaneously and profitably.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Requirements
- BS degree in engineering or related science from accredited college or university.
- EIT Required.
- PE Preferred.
- Minimum five years working experience in Fire Protection Engineering (consulting).
- General building construction knowledge.
- Experience working with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
What We Offer
- Approximate Base Salary – $90,000.00 to $125,000.00 based on experience.
- Paid times hourly rate.
- Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance.
- Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change).
- 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution.
