Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at St Josephs Hospital – Savannah GA. As an IR Tech, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our radiology department.

Responsibilities
  • Administer sedation and reversal medications to patients undergoing interventional procedures
  • Communicate effectively with interventionalists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Operate imaging equipment and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and department efficiency
Requirements
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Experience with interventional radiology procedures, including sedation and reversal
  • Proficiency in Meditech EMR system
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Schedule
  • 4-10 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • 14-15 days of call per 12-week period, including weekends
  • 2 weekends per 12-week period
  • Rotate holiday call
Unit Information
  • Work in a fast-paced interventional radiology department with 2 suites/labs at each facility
  • Average 5-10 IR cases and 4-7 CT cases per day
  • Common diagnoses include vascular conditions
Additional Details
  • Local candidate rule: must be within a 100-mile radius of the facility
  • Travelers must have a permanent address 101 miles+ from the facility
  • No floating outside of IR, but may float between hospitals
  • Scrub color/dress code: navy or royal blue
