Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Milegon LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring product conformance to customer and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Gather information from Engineering specifications and work instructions to verify product conformance.
- Ensure documentation is accurate and complete and conforms to ISO standards.
- Work closely with internal and external relationships that require exchanging information and providing explanations in a problem-solving capacity.
- Assist in notification of applicable document releases and/or updates to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare and conduct customer-specific Quality presentations via web or at customer site.
- Initiate and promote continuous improvement and Lean principles throughout the organization.
- Process creation and execution of quality control guidelines and protocols.
- Execute inspections and approvals to manufacturing specifications, drawings, performance requirements, etc.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal resources regarding all nonconformances to determine root cause and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal resources to improve manufacturing processes to reduce cost and lead time.
- Perform internal audits of procedures as required.
- Bachelor's degree in technical, business, engineering, or management field, minimum 3 years' experience, or 8 years related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Able to provide familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Practical experience using measuring instruments critical to quality.
- Strong understanding of applicable regulations and standards (e.g., AS9100, APQP, ISO 14971).
- 5 years experience as a Quality professional in support of both military and non-military customers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required. Ability to accurately perform tasks in applicable business systems, including ERP and statistical analysis applications.
- Highly preferred: knowledge of materials, components, and methods used in the construction of electronic systems, printed circuit board assemblies, and subassemblies.
- Proficient with RCCA, PFMEA, CAPA, and QMS management.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, and ISO is preferred.
