Position Overview:

Job Requirements:
  • Education: Ability to read, write, follow verbal instructions, and perform basic arithmetic.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous. New employees will undergo three to five days of training, followed by at least 30 days of on-the-job training under the guidance of the Assistant Director.

Physical Requirements:
This position is classified as safety-sensitive. Candidates should be aware of the St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy. The role involves:
  • Working in a typical clinic environment.
  • Normal/corrected vision and hearing within the standard range.
  • Frequent exposure to dust, fumes, and various hazards.

Key Responsibilities:
The primary duties include:
  • Cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, utility areas, public spaces, restrooms, and offices.
  • Managing waste disposal, including both infectious and non-infectious materials.
  • Performing daily floor maintenance tasks such as dusting, mopping, buffing, and refinishing hard floors.
  • Vacuuming, shampooing, and extracting carpets.
  • Conducting wall washing, high and low dusting, and cleaning furniture, blinds, and windows.
