About the Role

Pyramid Healthcare Inc. is seeking a dedicated Certified Peer Specialist to join our team in Radford, Virginia.

Estimated Salary: $17/hour

Job Overview

As a Certified Peer Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing lived experience expertise and interacting with our multi-disciplinary treatment team. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain regular contact with referral sources and update on consumer's progress, participating in regularly scheduled treatment team meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance and support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral sources
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Prepare and conduct reviews with referral sources
  • Maintain accurate medical records and document all client or peripheral contacts
  • Provide transportation for clients to access community resources
  • Participate in emergency services duty on rotation, including commitment procedures, after-hour assessments, crisis planning, and hospital diversion
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess a Certified Peer Specialist certificate and have a strong understanding of human services disciplines. An associate degree within a professional Human Services discipline is preferred.
