Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Addiction Recovery Specialist to join our team in Radford. As a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will provide lived experience expertise and interact with referral sources to support clients in achieving their recovery goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance and support to clients in recovery, leveraging your own experiences and knowledge to inform your practice.
- Maintain regular contact with referral sources to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
- Document client progress and participate in regularly scheduled team meetings to review outcomes and make data-driven decisions.
- Prepare and conduct reviews with referral sources to ensure mutual understanding and expectations.
- Accurately document medical records and all client or peripheral contacts.
- Provide transportation services for clients to access community resources.
- Participate in emergency services duty on rotation, including commitment procedures, after-hours assessments, crisis planning, and hospital diversion.
Requirements:
- Certified Peer Specialist certification required.
- Possession of an associate's degree in a relevant human services field is preferred.
