Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the level of receptive and expressive speech and language skills, swallowing skills, and social/pragmatic skills of individuals. You will develop and implement individual and group therapy/treatment programs to enhance communication, address swallowing deficiencies, and prevent asphyxiation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the level of receptive and expressive speech and language skills, swallowing skills, and social/pragmatic skills of individuals.
  • Develop and implement individual and group therapy/treatment programs to enhance communication, address swallowing deficiencies, and prevent asphyxiation.
  • Design and deliver speech, language, and dysphagia management services, including hearing screenings, for individuals and groups.
  • Design and deliver in-service training to other staff on speech-language techniques and protocols.
  • Act as a sign language interpreter as necessary.
  • Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team to provide professional insight and goal planning for treatment and care of individuals.
  • Counsel and inform guardians and family members regarding speech-language, hearing, and swallowing issues.
  • Compose and complete reports, lesson plans, and other program-related documents.
Requirements
  • Licensed as a speech-language pathologist in the state of Ohio.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
