Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Technician to join our team. As a Sanitation Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular and as-needed cleaning of equipment and facility areas to maintain a high level of sanitation and hygiene.
  • Conduct general housekeeping duties, including removing trash and recycling from the production floor to designated containers.
  • Verify and document all cleaning and sanitizing activities against the master sanitation schedule.
  • Understand and follow all equipment cleaning Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Apply cleaning and sanitizing solutions to all surfaces, scrubbing as needed, to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Maintain a safety and quality mindset at all times.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies, collaborating with the Manager, Sanitation as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date on safety rules and company policies, including PPE and GMPs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a sanitation role or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, and stoop/kneel for extended periods.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Prior experience working in a food or pet food manufacturing environment.
  • Comfort working in cold and wet conditions.
