Maintenance Director Job Description

A leading foods manufacturer with a global presence is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Director to lead their North American team. This is a unique opportunity to drive maintenance excellence and technological advancements in equipment health monitoring and predictive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage a team of maintenance professionals through hiring, talent development, and performance management.
  • Set strategy in alignment with functional goals and key objectives for Maintenance, Reliability Engineering, and Engineering.
  • Develop key objectives for the global Maintenance Excellence Program and provide governance for its execution.
  • Establish analytical tools and reporting methods for network standardization.
Requirements:
  • BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Operations Management; Masters or MBA preferred.
  • 10-15+ years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in consumer products, foods, or high-speed packaging.
  • Process/project engineering experience with automation and leading capital projects with robotics.
  • Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, inventory, and scheduling software.
  • Strategic level maintenance director experience managing multiple sites.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with good planning and priority setting skills.
