Overview

Novant Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider to join our pediatric surgery practice in Charlotte, NC. This role will provide clinical care for pediatric general surgery patients in ambulatory and acute settings. We are looking for an APP with OR experience in Pediatric Surgery. The ideal candidate is patient-centric, flexible, adaptable, dependable, and respectful of all team members, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment assessing pediatric patients. The selected APP will collaborate well with referring offices and have a thorough knowledge of diagnosis, pharmacology, and physical assessment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care for pediatric general surgery patients in ambulatory and acute settings.
  • Collaborate with referring offices and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Perform a variety of functions under the supervision of our physicians, including seeing patients in the clinic setting, surgical assisting in the operating room, performing office procedures, and rounding at our acute facilities.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe medications, and order diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in a relevant field, such as Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing.
  • Current PA or NP license in the state of North Carolina.
  • NCCPA or registry with state nursing board, ACLS, DEA registry required.
  • RNFA certification required for NP's.
  • At least one year of experience in pediatrics and/or surgery.
