Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Barry Intermediate School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Occupational Therapy services to support students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments to determine program eligibility and develop recommendations for treatment.
  • Complete written reports detailing evaluation results and present them to relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings.
  • Develop and implement Occupational Therapy interventions to improve students' functional skills and performance.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including service documentation and Medicaid billing.
  • Consult with students, teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide information and coordinate services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Registered Occupational Therapist by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Familiarity with the Michigan Revised Administrative Rules for Special Education and OT in the schools.
