About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Telecom Construction Equipment Operator to join our team at Golden State Utility. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining specialized equipment for general heavy equipment operation, ensuring the safe and efficient completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain drill equipment on job sites, including directional drills, backhoes, skid steers, and tractor trailers.
  • Restore and landscape disturbed areas of the job site, ensuring a safe and environmentally responsible work environment.
  • Develop and maintain a bore schedule to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Set up and clean up job sites, including loading and unloading tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Participate in new site Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to identify potential hazards and develop strategies for mitigation.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure the safe and efficient completion of projects.
Requirements
  • Class C Regular Driver's License (Class A CDL preferred)
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid State driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Experience with drill setup and design processes (preferred)
  • Basic ability to use small tools and hand tools
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions
Physical Demands

The Telecom Construction Equipment Operator will be required to:

  • Routinely climb up and down ladders, machinery, and other objects
  • Operate vehicles and heavy machinery
  • Squeeze, fine hand motions, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift greater than 55 pounds
  • Occasionally work in confined spaces
