Job Summary

L3Harris is seeking a highly skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for performing multiple tasks on assigned teams, projects, or functional areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform non-routine and non-repetitive production electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical assembly tasks.
  • Conduct quality assurance and reliability testing following established methods and procedures.
  • Participate in production scheduling and control, and coordinate the flow of material, parts, and assemblies.
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process control procedures.
  • Participate in program or functional team projects to develop process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to enhance program quality, cost, and scheduling.
Essential Functions:
  • Use basic hand tools and fixturing.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriate to the use of chemicals and protection from other hazards.
  • Lift at least 32 pounds.
  • Read and understand blueprints and shop orders.
  • Follow and give written and verbal instructions.
  • Perform basic shop math, including measuring ratios by weight and volume.
  • Work in and promote a team environment.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary/associate degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Skills:
  • Proficient in MS Office.
