Job Summary

Bolt Medical is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing medical devices at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Perform product installation and deinstallation at customer sites, ensuring that all equipment is properly installed and functioning as expected.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot, service, repair, and provide exceptional support at customer locations as it relates to medical devices.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Schedule and conduct preventative maintenance (PMs) of medical devices at customer sites as required.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and maintain stock of inventory, company equipment, and documents necessary for servicing related activities.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date record logs for services rendered.
  • Liaison: Act as a liaison between Bolt Medical and customers on quality and performance of medical devices.
  • Critical Thinking: Demonstrate and utilize critical thinking in assessment of performance and risks associated with installed medical devices.
  • Collaboration: Support Clinical Account Managers in the field as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Work alongside Manufacturing and Engineering between service calls to ensure high-quality products are designed, manufactured, and delivered to customers on-time.
  • Travel: May be required to travel up to 75% of the time, including weekends.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or similar disciplines.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a medical device field service.
  • Skills: Experience effectively working with medical professionals in a collaborative manner and troubleshooting/resolving technical issues is preferred. Experience working in a medical facility is also preferred.
  • Knowledge: Past experience and proven track record of success in working with electromedical equipment. Ability to quickly assess technical problems and find a solution or determine how to elevate it appropriately, while under pressured situations.
  • Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce accurate, punctual reports/information, as required and thoroughly share information with others.
