CMM Programmer

We are seeking a highly skilled CMM Programmer to join our team at SigSauer. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing inspection programs using computer-aided measurement (CMM) and gauge software.

• Program Development: Create new inspection programs and modify existing ones using 3D CAD models and part drawings for simple to medium complexity components.
• Quality Control: Prove-out CMM inspection plans for navigational and computational errors, including conducting GRRs and correlation with mechanical inspection and other automated inspection systems.
• Technical Support: Provide technical and operational support to CMM/CNC Programmers and inspectors in a fast-paced team environment.
• Equipment Maintenance: Qualify, assemble, replace, and create new CMM/Gauge stylus systems and stylus, as well as calibrate and perform basic system troubleshooting.
• Documentation: Create and maintain CMM/Gauge reports, GRR reports, and correlation reports, as well as other documents related to CMM/Gauge equipment.

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; BS/AS Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, or other engineering discipline preferred.
• Experience: 3 years minimum as a CMM Programmer using automated inspection software required.
• Skills: Effective communication skills, ability to use Microsoft Office applications, and basic and advanced course certification of inspection software training.

• Physical Demands: Regularly perform repetitive tasks, work is primarily standing, and frequent lifting and/or moving of tooling, parts containers, and materials up to 40 pounds.
• Environmental Factors: Must be able to reach with hands and arms, bend and kneel frequently, and undergo repetitive wrist, hand, elbow, shoulder, and ankle motions.
