As a CMM Programmer, you will be responsible for developing and programming measurement routines for Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) using PC-DMIS software. Your expertise in metrology and software programming will be instrumental in ensuring that our components meet and exceed design specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and customize measurement programs for CMMs using PCDMIS software, ensuring accuracy and precision in measurement routines.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and component requirements to ensure that measurement programs are aligned with design specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and quality control teams to establish measurement protocols, ensuring that measurement programs are aligned with company standards.
- Perform CMM Machine setup and ensure accurate measurements, ensuring that measurement data is reliable and accurate.
- Conduct measurements and inspections to validate component precision, ensuring that components meet design specifications.
- Analyze measurement data, generate reports, and provide recommendations for improvements, ensuring that measurement programs are optimized for quality and efficiency.
- Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements, ensuring that measurement data is reliable and accurate.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with a strong foundation in metrology and software programming.
- Proven experience as a CMM programmer with a strong background in PCDMIS software, with a track record of developing and customizing measurement programs.
- In-depth knowledge of metrology, GD&T, and engineering drawings, with a strong understanding of measurement principles and software programming.
- Proficiency in CMM operation and measurement techniques, with a strong understanding of measurement data analysis and reporting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a strong ability to analyze measurement data and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong ability to collaborate with engineers and quality control teams.
