Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Prevea Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds
  • Coordinate provider schedules and appointments, enter orders, and prepare patient charts
  • Instruct patients and families as directed within the scope of licensure or assist medical providers with in-office procedures and prepare and administer medications
  • Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room
Requirements
  • Current clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing
  • Knowledge of principles and skills needed for practical nurse or medical assistant to provide patient care
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care
  • Ability to work under stressful or emergency situations with high concentration and energy level
  • Proficient in the use of EMR systems, computer, phone, and office equipment
Certifications and Licenses
  • Certified as a Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant in the state of WI through an approved accreditor
  • Valid Practical Nursing license in the state of WI through an approved accreditor
  • Licensed EMT or AEMT and maintain this credential throughout employment
  • CPS/BLS Certification Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers from approved program or Prevea sponsored program
