Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in securing authorizations for chemotherapy and outpatient surgical interventions.
  • In-depth understanding of insurance policies, medical terminology, and healthcare regulations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively engage with patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance representatives.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management capabilities to manage multiple authorization requests efficiently.
  • Proficient in utilizing healthcare management software and other pertinent computer applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Secure authorizations for chemotherapy and outpatient surgical interventions by collaborating with insurance providers and third-party payers.
  • Examine patient medical records and insurance policy details to assess the need for preauthorization.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals and administrative personnel to compile necessary documentation for authorization requests.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of authorization requests, approvals, denials, and follow-up actions.
