Senior Civil Engineer Job Description

At SMRT, we're seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Civil Engineering group, you'll play a crucial role in shaping innovative solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide civil engineering services for public and private clients across various markets, including healthcare, education, and commercial projects.
  • Organize and manage civil engineering design tasks, ensuring timely completion and high-quality deliverables.
  • Direct the preparation of specifications, cost estimates, construction drawings, and bid packages.
  • Develop project design schedules that incorporate civil engineering services, meeting client expectations.
  • Oversight of civil engineering deliverables, requirements, and standards, ensuring quality control and quality assurance.
  • Establish working relationships with client technical staff, project staff, and regulatory agencies.
  • Mentor and assist junior engineers in performing civil engineering design, including site evaluation, layout, and traffic design.
  • Develop and identify professional development opportunities for civil engineering staff.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 18 years of site design, master planning, and civil engineering experience.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, with the ability to acquire licenses in multiple states.
