Job Summary: As a Breast Imaging Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to conduct mammography examinations and produce precise diagnostic images of the breast. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in the early identification of breast cancer and will aid in effective treatment planning. You will collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing mammography examinations utilizing specialized imaging technology and methodologies.
- Positioning patients to ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedures.
- Gathering and reviewing patient medical histories and pertinent information.
- Educating patients about the mammography process, addressing inquiries, and alleviating concerns.
- Working alongside radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze imaging results.
- Evaluating image quality and making necessary adjustments to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documenting all procedures conducted.
- Adhering to radiation safety protocols and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Qualifications:
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Mammography.
- Valid state licensure to practice as a Breast Imaging Specialist.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mammography procedures, techniques, and equipment.
- Strong understanding of breast anatomy, pathology, and common breast conditions.
- Proficient in patient positioning and care techniques during mammographic procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare professionals.
