Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behavioral Health Nursing Manager to join our team at St. Clare's - Boonton. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of our Behavioral Health Program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of excellent patient care.
  • Develop and implement programmatic plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current regulations.
  • Collaborate with staff, physicians, and administration to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Develop and administer comprehensive Behavioral Health programming that responds to the patient demographic needs and supports the organization's overall mission, philosophy, and goals.
  • Integrate Behavioral Health Services into the continuum of care, as appropriate to the facility needs.
Requirements
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Master's degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing (preferred) or currently enrolled in program.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in psychiatric nursing providing care to the mentally ill.
  • Minimum of 2 years' management experience with Behavioral Health Care programs.
  • BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Behavioral Violence Prevention within 6 months of hire and maintain current annually.
  • Working knowledge of mental health laws and practice standards.
  • Knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health treatment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and management skills.
