Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Engineering Manager to oversee our projects and teams. At BKF Engineers, we are in search of experienced Engineering Managers who possess robust technical skills and a solid background in land development design initiatives. Ideal candidates will demonstrate the ability to independently implement standard engineering practices, methodologies, and criteria, leveraging their expertise and judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Project Management: Oversee budgeting, scheduling, client relations, and invoicing.
  • Manage Design Teams: Foster collaboration and manage scheduling for design teams.
  • Process Entitlement Applications: Handle the submission and processing of entitlement applications.
  • Prepare Final Design Packages: Develop comprehensive design packages for roadways and streets.
  • Design Roadways: Create plans for streetscapes, green streets, and bicycle paths.
  • Adhere to Standards: Ensure compliance with federal, state, city, and county regulations.
  • Prepare Reports: Conduct master planning studies and prepare specifications and cost estimates.
  • Ensure Quality Control: Oversee quality assurance for project deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 9 years of experience in site development and the design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, and roadways.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program is required.
  • A Professional Engineering license in California is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is essential.

Compensation:

  • The typical salary range for this role is between $138,500 and $156,000 annually, based on qualifications, experience, education, and location.
