Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Manager to oversee our projects at BKF Engineers. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to independently implement standard engineering methodologies while utilizing their expertise and judgment effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing project budgets, timelines, and client relations.
  • Lead and coordinate the design team, ensuring effective collaboration and scheduling.
  • Oversee entitlement applications and processing.
  • Prepare comprehensive final design packages for roadways and streets, including plans, profiles, and cross sections.
  • Develop designs for streetscapes, green streets, and bicycle paths.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, city, and county standards.
  • Prepare reports and master planning studies, including specifications and cost estimates.
  • Implement quality control measures for project deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 9 years of experience in site development and design of residential or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, and roadways.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Professional Engineering license in California is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is essential.
