Job Description:

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer I at ACCO Engineered Systems, you will be responsible for delivering engineering services from conceptual design through construction completion. Your expertise will be essential in project planning, coordination, and execution. You will independently complete conceptual design through construction drawing development for large complex projects or multiple projects simultaneously. Your responsibilities will include creating conceptual designs certified to Building Codes, Energy Codes, and LEED standards, as well as responsible for calculations, design, and layout of equipment, duct, and piping systems on assigned projects. You will also be responsible for the quality of HVAC design drawings and models, effectively and professionally communicate with colleagues and project team members, and manage time to meet project schedules and task deadlines. Additionally, you will oversee other design team members to complete project assignments when requested by Manager. You will have a strong understanding of ACCO engineering standards and project execution processes. Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Requirements:
BS in Engineering or Construction Management, Professional Engineer license highly desirable, but not required. 8+ years of experience with a Design/Build Mechanical Contractor or HVAC consultant. Excellent understanding of engineering and HVAC design fundamentals, thorough understanding of HVAC systems and applications, excellent familiarity with Building Codes and industry standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

Physical Requirements:
The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision and Distance vision. The auditory/hearing abilities required by the job include the ability to hear customers calling by telephone. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods, stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to walk and sit. This individual must be a responsible person and regular attendance is required.

Hours :
This is a non-exempt position from Monday through Friday. Work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm with one-hour break for lunch and two rest breaks. Eight hours per day is required and other occasional overtime may be necessary per business needs.

Competitive Wages:
$51.69 to $62.55 per hour. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
