Location Insights:


Our facility in Battle Creek, Michigan, known as the cereal capital of the U.S., is the largest manufacturing site for Post Consumer Brands, employing around 600 team members.

By joining this team, you will contribute to the production of some of the most iconic cereal brands, including Honey Bunches of Oats, PEBBLES, Grape-Nuts, and Honeycomb.

The Battle Creek plant is historically significant, housing the original barn where C.W. Post established the Postum cereal company in 1895.

The team here has strong community ties, actively supporting local events and schools, and organizing numerous volunteer initiatives throughout the year.


Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will possess the skills to maintain, repair, replace, or rebuild a diverse range of industrial manufacturing equipment and systems, including but not limited to:

- HMI / PLC: Establish online communication between a laptop and HMI or PLC
- Servo motors
- Basic programming and editing
- Motor and cable replacement
- Troubleshooting electrical issues in industrial manufacturing equipment
- Maintenance and repair of electrical and heavy industrial mechanical equipment
- Interpretation of drawings and electrical code specifications for industrial electrical installations
- Replacement of equipment in existing electrical systems
- Understanding of electrical wiring diagrams and schematics
- Performing industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
- Locating and repairing faults in wiring or electrical equipment
- Installation of electrical components and systems
- Familiarity with basic electrical symbols and reading electrical schematic diagrams
- Isolating basic electrical control circuits
- Repairing complex electrical and electronic equipment or machinery
- Maintaining all electrical and electronic equipment and electrical power
- Conducting routine preventative maintenance on electrical equipment
- Interpreting complex electrical wiring diagrams and schematics
- Installing various assemblies requiring electrical wiring
- Installing, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical equipment and associated controls
- Calibrating and repairing electrical-pneumatic control systems
- Maintaining, installing, and repairing plant equipment electrical systems and facility electrical systems.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should:
- Be capable of performing all duties with minimal supervision.


- Have comprehensive knowledge of and adhere to the latest plant safety, sanitation, and operational guidelines.


- Hold current Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) certification for Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and First Aid (FA), with training completed as per ECC guidelines.


- Understand the appropriate application and use of personal protective equipment specific to the trade.
- Have solid knowledge of and proficiency in mathematical functions relevant to the trade.
- Utilize interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with others across the organization and in cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of current technology and a desire to enhance that knowledge as it relates to the trade.
- Be willing to participate in or facilitate trade-related training as required.
- Have successfully completed a High School education program or equivalent state certification.
- Have completed a Journeyman Electrical Apprenticeship or possess over 8000 hours of documented experience in the electrical field.
- Be able to pass relevant written, oral, or hands-on training, peer review, and similar assessments.
- Understand the National Electric Code and its appropriate application.
- Have a strong grasp of computer systems operating on a Windows platform.
- Possess sufficient knowledge of equipment operating at 600V and below to facilitate maintenance and installation.
