Construction Equipment Service Supervisor

Job Summary: Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co., Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Equipment Service Supervisor to lead our Main Shop Service Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing the activities of our service department, ensuring efficient and cost-effective product line support for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and develop the personnel of the department to achieve high levels of productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Receive and respond to customer requests or inquiries on equipment repairs, providing timely and accurate information.
- Assist in determining needed repairs and scheduling repairs to minimize downtime and maximize customer satisfaction.
- Research information from literature and computer-based sources to provide expert advice on equipment maintenance and repair.
- Assign and schedule equipment and personnel to shop repairs, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Perform other functions as assigned by necessity, including assessing employee performance, fostering good union/management relations, and administering employee discipline.
Requirements:
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical repair procedures and their application to equipment repair.
- Thorough understanding of Company/contract practices and policies in relation to the direction of the work force.
- Significant talent in the direction and scheduling of persons under a collective bargaining agreement, as well as those who supervise and support them.
- Considerable written and verbal communication skills for the conveyance of instructions.
- Working skills in computer applications in a Windows-based environment to provide for continual improvement of processes.
