Job Title: Federal College Work Study Student
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student to assist the Athletics Department with various tasks and responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees and students, responding to routine office inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Assist with day-to-day maintenance and responsibilities of the assigned department, including clerical functions such as answering phones, filing, scheduling, and organizing.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, including assisting with Gameday operations as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support the Athletics Department with various tasks and projects, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Enrolled at least half-time, 6 credit hours per semester for undergraduate and 3 credit hours per semester for graduate students.
- Maintain a TAMIU overall GPA of 2.0 for undergraduate students and 3.0 for graduate students.
- Have a current and complete file with the Office of Financial Aid.
- Submit a FAFSA application annually to demonstrate financial need.
- Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible non-citizen.
- Meet all other requirements as stated in TAMIU's Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAPP).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in using personal computer workstations with common software applications.
- Ability to organize and multitask functions to ensure compliance with deadlines.
- Outstanding customer service skills and excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills.
- Problem analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn and use multiple software programs.

Other Requirements:
- Position requires on-campus, face-to-face interactions.

- Work schedules are created by the department based on departmental needs, ensuring they do not conflict with class schedules.
- Promptly complete all required training.
- Input hours worked daily and submit time sheets biweekly.
Salary: $8.00/hour for up to 19 hours
