Job Title: Federal College Work Study Student

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student to assist the Athletics Department with various tasks and responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to employees and students, responding to routine office inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with day-to-day maintenance and responsibilities of the assigned department, including clerical functions such as answering phones, filing, scheduling, and organizing.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including assisting with Gameday operations as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support the Athletics Department with various tasks and projects, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Enrolled at least half-time, 6 credit hours per semester for undergraduate and 3 credit hours per semester for graduate students.
  • Maintain a TAMIU overall GPA of 2.0 for undergraduate students and 3.0 for graduate students.
  • Have a current and complete file with the Office of Financial Aid.
  • Submit a FAFSA application annually to demonstrate financial need.
  • Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible non-citizen.
  • Meet all other requirements as stated in TAMIU's Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAPP).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in using personal computer workstations with common software applications.
  • Ability to organize and multitask functions to ensure compliance with deadlines.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills.
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn and use multiple software programs.

  • Position requires on-campus, face-to-face interactions.

  • Promptly complete all required training.
  • Input hours worked daily and submit time sheets biweekly.

Salary: $8.00/hour for up to 19 hours
