Job Summary

The Senior Salesforce Engineer is responsible for leading the technical design, development, and implementation of Salesforce-based software solutions to meet business needs. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, design technical solutions, and implement best practices to ensure high-quality software development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of software solutions using Salesforce and attendant technologies, e.g., Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
  • Work closely with the Software Architect and other technical team members in developing solutions for the Salesforce platform.
  • Lead development and updates of technical design documents.
  • Work with product operations to complete release deployments and release documentation.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that meets our business needs and follows industry best practices.
  • Design and implement unit tests to ensure high-quality software products.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.

  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in Salesforce software development and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Identify ongoing risks and areas for improvement within our Salesforce implementation.
Role QualificationsEducation & Experience
  • REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • At least eight (8) years of experience developing Salesforce-based solutions.
  • At least two (2) years of leading and mentoring Salesforce Development teams.
  • Solid understanding of and detailed experience with architecture and API.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications.
  • Experience with Lightning Web Components.
  • Certified Salesforce Platform Developer 1 & 2 certification required.
  • Experience using Mulesoft and data pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
  • Demonstrated coding skills in Apex plus one additional high-level programming language such as C#, Java, or Python.
  • Proven experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Knowledge in SOQL, relational database management systems, data modeling, and standardization.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with Azure.
  • Experience with automating Salesforce deployments.
  • Mulesoft Developer certifications.
