Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at Home Market Foods. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing inventory flow throughout the organization, ensuring accuracy of inventory levels and quality of product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical inventories of warehouse products to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Document and report damaged products, as well as short or dated products
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner
- Assist in troubleshooting functions related to shipping and receiving
- Work independently with minimal supervision and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two years of experience in shipping and receiving in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required
- Licensed to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse documentation and processing requirements required
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of ERP systems, NAV experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, and take directions in English
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Inventory Management Systems preferred
Physical Requirements and Environment:
- Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without difficulty
- The noise level in the office environment is typically moderate
- Company-provided Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) must be worn while on the production floor
