Job Title: Child and Family Therapist

Catholic Charities of Central Washington is seeking a skilled Child and Family Therapist to join our team. As a Child and Family Therapist, you will provide clinical mental health services to children, families, and adults in an outpatient community mental health clinic.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide intake assessments, diagnosis, and ongoing culturally sensitive treatment using Evidenced Based Practices to children, families, and adults.
  • Complete required documentation within the identified timeframes.
  • Develop clinical treatment plans which focus on client strengths, culture, needs, and goals within the briefest time frame for successful achievement.
  • Maintain encounters/productivity of 60% of reportable/billable services.
  • Participate in ongoing Continuous Quality Improvement to assure the services provided demonstrate best practice standards and meet all contractual requirements.
  • Actively participate in individual and group supervision, clinical staff meetings, and other multi-disciplinary meetings.
  • Staff cases which require specialist consultations and psychiatric consultation as required.
  • Coordinate client treatment with schools, physicians, and other community resources and referrals to community services whenever necessary.
  • Observe confidentiality in all related program functions with staff and clients.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with other community mental health providers, primary care, and other referral sources.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Social Work preferred or Masters degree in other Behavioral Sciences required.
  • Two years of experience working with children, families, and adults in a professional outpatient setting.
  • Mental Health Professional (MHP) designation or eligible.
  • Ability to operate from a strengths-based perspective.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge.
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills and excellent documentation skills.
  • Ability to provide service in a culturally sensitive manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner with referral sources.
  • Ability to represent the agency in a professional manner within the community.
