About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Sanitation Team Member to join our team at Butterball, LLC. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily sanitation of all processing lines to ensure a clean and safe working environment
- Promote a safe work environment through knowledge of the sanitation program and commitment to a safe workplace for all
- Ensure product safety and product defense in the plant by following all GMP and HACCP procedures
- Maintain and clean water lines to prevent contamination
- Coordinate all daily sanitation activities within the plant to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements:
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently as well as with groups
- Ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize work
- Ability to train, maintain, and promote a safe work environment
- Read and understand HACCP along with FDA and OSHA requirements as needed
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Entry-level does not require previous experience in a Sanitation role.
Working Conditions:
This position requires working in a food processing plant with a high noise level, storage coolers/facilities. The position requires working around processing plant equipment and must be physically capable of working extended hours if needed, in a wet environment, standing for long periods of time, and operating processing equipment. Ability to lift up to 80lbs.
Salary:
The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
