About the Role

As a Senior Regulatory Engineer on the Kuiper project, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our satellite communications systems comply with worldwide regulatory requirements. You will work closely with our engineering, operations, and legal teams to develop and implement strategies for regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed analysis products and strategies to enable Kuiper's use of radio frequency spectrum
  • Aid in the filing of licensing and certification applications, including the preparation of technical analyses in support of license applications
  • Identify worldwide regulatory requirements for Kuiper customer terminal/antenna products
  • Actively educate design teams on regulatory requirements and impact of key engineering decisions on compliance
  • Develop input for regulatory consultations and rulemakings
  • Participate in standards organizations working groups
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in satellite communications, telecommunications, and/or radio frequency management
  • Experience in submissions for official licensing and certification through relevant compliance bodies
  • Experience in the application of the international Radio Regulations or U.S. satellite regulations
  • Experience in identifying and documenting regulatory requirements extracted from Industry, Safety, EMC, or Wireless standards
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing and licensing satellite antenna products
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Experience performing data or system analysis using Python and/or Matlab
  • Experience analyzing satellite communications systems in non-geostationary orbit
