Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team at Mercy Hospital Washington. As a Medical Surgical Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Our Medical/Surgical Unit is a 30-bed unit that cares for patients with a variety of medical conditions, including GI, Oncology, UTI, Dehydration, Pneumonia, COPD, Wounds, and Post-Op care. Our nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6, with Patient Care Associates on the floor to support you. We value teamwork and accountability, and you will find a sense of belonging on our team.

Responsibilities:

- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting patient information.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements:

- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
- Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
