Job Summary:
The Project Site Technician will support our Hydrogen gas production facility. This person will be responsible for the installation and servicing of the production, compression, dispensing, transportation, and storage equipment. This person will also be responsible for reporting breakdown events, parts ordering, and maintenance of these machines/equipment at a specific location.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Service: Perform routine maintenance and service of electromechanical equipment at customer sites.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain optimum efficiency at a specific location.
- Specialized Service Procedures: Perform specialized service procedures, including field retrofits and software and hardware upgrades to existing equipment.
- Customer Support: Provide on-call and emergency support service to customers as required.
- Purchasing and Inventory Management: Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for customer service and support as required.
- High-Pressure System Maintenance: May require troubleshooting and maintenance of high-pressure hydrogen storage, 480VAC, flammability, cryogenic liquid, high-pressure gas, and fueling systems.
- Communication and Documentation: Maintain ongoing communication with customer personnel and hydrogen suppliers regarding aftermarket support of equipment. Complete administrative duties and documentation, including incident reports, service logs, inventory maintenance, and site and system documentation.
- Safety Procedures: Exhibit and enforce safety procedures in the field or customer sites.
- Travel and Representation: Travel as required for business needs; expected to drive safely and to adhere to all traffic laws. Represent OneH2 in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical and mechanical coursework. Preferred three (3) or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Formal Training and Education: Formal training and education may be also considered in lieu of direct experience.
- Driver's License and Certification: Must possess a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. A Class A CDL with hazmat endorsement will be required after employment.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis unassisted.
- Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications is highly preferred. General mechanical aptitude is required. Computer and software systems skills as applicable to position, including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders at all levels.
