Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laundry Operations Manager to join our team at Arbor Acres United Methodist Retirement Community Inc. As a key member of our Environmental Services Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our laundry facilities, ensuring that all laundry duties are carried out efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Laundry Personnel: Lead and manage a team of laundry staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and cleanliness.
  • Monitor Laundry Quality: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all laundry is processed and delivered to the highest standards, meeting the needs of our residents and healthcare facilities.
  • Collaborate with Housekeeping Supervisors: Work closely with Housekeeping Supervisors to maintain and improve Environmental Services, ensuring that all areas of the facility are clean and well-maintained.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure that all laundry personnel adhere to proper procedures, record all necessary documents, label laundry, and use the correct chemicals and protective equipment.
  • Perform Additional Tasks: Perform any additional tasks or duties as assigned by the Facility Services Director to ensure the smooth operation of the laundry facilities.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2+ Years of Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in laundry or housekeeping is required, with management experience preferred.
  • Valid North Carolina Driver's License: A valid North Carolina driver's license is required.
