Job Summary:
Canyon Vista Medical Center is a leading healthcare provider seeking a skilled Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development and planning of goals and objectives related to psychiatric-mental health care.
- Develop, implement, conduct, and evaluate in-patient service programs, staff orientation, performance evaluations, and ensure compliance with standards.
- Precept and mentor staff, and ensure continuing education for nurses, nursing students, and other staff.
- Establish educational policies and procedures, and act as a resource person to staff and leadership.
- Participate in Process Improvement Performance initiatives to improve activities and unit goals.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
- 2 years of clinical experience in the care of psychiatric-mental health patients preferred.
