Senior Project Manager Transportation/Transit

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a multiple disciplinary team in delivering projects that exceed client expectations while managing the budget and meeting gross margin goals.
  • Identify creative and innovative solutions based on client, project, and site constraints.
  • Drive growth with your client, working closely with the project team for overall client satisfaction from client relationship through final project delivery.
  • Build relationships with your client through face-to-face meetings and participating in professional events.
  • Lead internal coordination through working directly with the sales team on overall client strategy and coordination on pursuits, with operations team for project delivery and quality, and with legal team regarding contracting.
  • Obtain and distill feedback and other indicators that may influence middle game actions.
Requirements:
  • P.E.) Professional Engineer Registration in Washington State or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in the transportation market sector.
  • Strong technical background in transportation/transit engineering and understanding of project delivery tools and metrics, and a proven history leading project delivery teams to successfully meet client expectations.
  • Attributes that include good oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis and technical problem solving, and a strong organizational approach.
  • Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong client relationships that result in the creation and procurement of new and repeat consulting work.
  • Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and leading diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Transportation/Transit focus).
  • Strong networks and relationships in the Washington and Idaho transportation and transit markets.
  • Proficiency and prior experience of using AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation/InRoads.
  • Previous WSDOT, FTA, FHWA, and local municipal project delivery experience.
  • Previous experience working on alternative delivery (design-build, progressive design-build).
