Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu. The successful candidate will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and be responsible for providing accurate and timely documentation, establishing therapeutic relationships, and participating in patient rounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu
  • Accurately and timely document AFS, progress notes, and observation sheets
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and maintain professional boundaries
  • Participate in patient rounds and teams
  • Identify patient behaviors that contribute to crisis situations and utilize de-escalation techniques
  • Communicate changes in patient status to RN and follow Standards of Care and protocols
  • Perform Point of Care testing (POC) and maintain basic computer skills
Requirements

We require a High School diploma or GED and prefer two years of college plus one year of clinical experience, preferably in a psychiatric setting. Licensure is not required, but verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work in collaboration with others are essential.
