About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and responsible individual to join our team as a General Manager Trainee at one of our moving and storage centers. As a General Manager Trainee, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop the skills necessary to manage a U-Haul moving and storage center, including inventory management, equipment maintenance, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the fleet of equipment to ensure clean and well-maintained vehicles are available for customers
  • Track and itemize inventory to ensure accurate stock levels
  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Monitor and maintain the premises, including fuel receipts and petty cash
  • Participate in ongoing training and development through U-Haul University
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of management experience in retail or a related industry with a focus on financial results and customer satisfaction
  • Computer expertise and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to work weekends and holidays
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and requires moderate physical exertion, including long periods of standing and walking. The ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing situations is essential.
