About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our research team in the School of Physics at Georgia Tech. The successful candidate will have a strong background in experimental biophysics, biophysical modeling, soft matter, x-ray scattering or diffraction, muscle physiology, biomechanics, or related disciplines.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in the Agile System Lab to explore the physical and physiological mechanisms underlying agile animal movement.
  • Participate in a large multi-university team collaboration on muscle biophysics and movement in unsteady conditions.
  • Mentor undergraduate and graduate students within the group and as part of the multi-university research team.
Requirements
  • PhD in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Biophysics, Materials or Related Fields.
  • Background in experimental biophysics, biophysical modeling, soft matter, x-ray scattering or diffraction, muscle physiology, biomechanics, or related disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in working with biological tissue experiments, materials testing, multiscale modeling, or muscle physiology.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary lab environment.
